Fall is here, and Kate has gotten her first cold. Kate started back to school a few weeks ago, and brought home a nasty bug. She started off with a cold, then it turned into a sinus infection. Poor thing. We missed out on some fun activities with friends, so when she was feeling a little better, I put her in the stroller and went for a walk down to the lake, then into downtown. Kate got her first chocolate milk. She drank it like "a big girl, all by herself", so she was happy.
Kate will tell you that she is not in the baby room at school anymore. She thinks this is a very big deal. She loves her teachers and is always excited to go to school. She now gets to eat lunch at a "big kid" table. I got her a lunch box, and she is very proud of it. She pranced into school the first day with it showing it off to anyone who would pay attention. It was adorable.
We got our first snow last week. It was actually on the last official day of summer. This picture was taken the next day, so most of the snow had melted.
Today Kate requested that I paint her toenails. We had never done this before, and against my better judgement decided to go ahead. I told her she needed to sit still and not touch them. Yeah right. Within seconds, she had goobered them all up. Oh well, she's still happy with them. She keeps saying, "look at my pretty toes."
