Monkey Town

Much to the children's' delight, I finally broke out the swimming pool. All the kiddos love playing in the water. If only it could always be summertime!

This will be funny to those of you who know the old song, "Funky Town". Kate likes to sing, "won't you take me to...monkey town". Then the part that goes, "talk about it, talk about it, talk about it......Kate sings as, "taco body, taco body, taco body movin". I particularly like her robot dance!

Chaos!

We were blowing bubbles on the deck last night. Kate was dressed up in a doggy costume. Kate and Jojo were jumping up and trying to bite the bubbles, and all of a sudden Kate stops and yells, "this is just chaos! Chaos!". She is one funny girls. Don't even know where she gets this stuff!

May 29th - Memorial Day Weekend

We spent part of the Memorial Day weekend at Riverview with the girls. The kids had a blast riding horses, fishing and running through the sprinklers.

Jojo is getting so big! Still acts like a puppy though. He loved running around Riverview all day. He was all tuckered out when we got home.

May 26th - Grandude's Birthday

Happy birthday to Grandude! I'm ashamed to say I bought his cake this year instead of making one. Kate picked out a carrot cake, but we discovered it had raisins. Eeeeewwww! Raisins do not belong in cake. Period. Mark ended up smooshing his face into the cake because no one wanted a second piece. Kate couldn't believe it!

May 25th - Preschool Program

Kate and Hayden had their very first school program. The kids were very cute singing songs and doing dances. I can't beleive the school year is already over!

I loved watching Hayden dance during this song. He was so funny! Kate told me after the program that she was nervous :)

May 23rd - Indoor Camping

It hasn't been very nice out, so I put up the tent in the living room and the kids played "camping". Kate and Hayden were being cute pretending to go to sleep in the tent.

Mullets and Popsicles

Yes, you can call this child abuse...I probably shouldn't incriminate myself by posting these pictures, but I couldn't resist getting pictures of the kids in the mullet wig. As you can see, Kate and Allison didn't think this was as funny as I did.

We made popsicles for the first time this year. Pink lemonade. Yum yum!

May 6th - School Hike

I got to go with Kate's class on a hike to a playground near the school. I feel very fortunate to be able to participate in school activities with Kate. Kate had a great time playing with her friends.

Here is Kate and her teacher Miss Ann.

Here is Kate with her friends Cameron and Gianna.

Cameron is the boy that told Kate she was his princess! They were apparently holding hands on the playground that day!

April 29th - Kate's New Buddy

This is Kate and her new buddy Baby Soheil. I've started watching him once a week. He is such a happy little guy. We've all been enjoying having a baby here, and getting to give him back :)

Easter

Easter morning was fun with Kate. She woke up bright and early asking if the Easter Bunny had come. She was so excited to come out and see her basket. Kate got to dig right in and eat candy first thing in the morning, and I think she was shocked that we let her.

The Hayes Family came over for brunch and an egg hunt. The kids ate absurd amounts of candy.

Too much candy...
